Spotlights 2007
December 2007 - Teacher Tube
We know that pictures are worth a thousand words. What about videos? A million words? Since many school districts block YouTube, visit TeacherTube. It's worth it. Since its creation this year, the site now houses hundreds of educational videos.

November 2007 - Figure this
We use math everyday! Here is a website that focuses on the everyday use of mathematics. Funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the U.S. Department of Education, the site provides interesting math challenges that middle-school students can do at home with their families. They can also be used at school. The site is available in English and Spanish. It is one of the CTAP Middle School Math Project team's favorites. Check it out!
October 2007- Dr. Maggie Niess' Spreadsheets in the math classroom
Spreadsheets in the math classroom - Dr. Margaret Niess from Oregon State University has developed Scaffolding Math Learning with Spreadsheets with wonderful resources for both teachers and students. Visit Dr. Niess' site and the MSMP data analysis resource page for other resources in this area.
September 2007 - RESA Graphic Organizers
Southwest Georgia RESA Graphic Organizers
From several locations at the MSM site, you can go to websites that have math graphic organizers for students and teachers. Southwest Georgia RESA has a series of good math organizers. Since a majority of graphic organizers at the Southwest Gorgia RESA website were created in Word, teachers and students have the option of changing the organizers to meet their needs. After visiting this website, check out the rest of the Graphic Organizer resources at the MSM site.
