Let's use those PowerPoint skills and transform PowerPoint presentations into video clips! This workshop will focus on converting PowerPoint presentations to video clips using Windows Movie Maker. We'll look at what makes a PowerPoint a good candidate for conversion to a video clip and examine the possibilities for student use. Time will be given to practice using your previously developed PowerPoints, and use your skills to develop a new PowerPoint, convert it to video. Participants will also present a brief description of how they will integrate the clip into a lesson plan or use for student presentation. Participants will be given a follow up assignment due via email one week after the class date. Teacher Autobiography with Photoshop and Powerpoint

In this session participants will start preparing for the next school year by planning a photographic autobiography. We will explore the possible images to include and strategies fro taking great photos throughout the summer that document your life. The basics of Photoshop Elements for photo editing will be covered as well as the incorporation of images into a autobiographical Powerpoint. Participants will be expected to email a sample autobiography plan to the instructor within one week for verification of staff development hours. In this workshop, participants will use Microsoft Powerpoint to create original design templates. This workshop will cover how to use a graphic design grid structure to keep layouts clean and professional and visually organize text and images. Participants will learn how to create a template design that can be easily edited and adjusted for varying content. First, participants will follow the instructor while creating a design with provided photos. Then, in order to complete the workshop, participants need to provide their own photos and will be expected to create another design template.
