E-rate Update Sept 2010
From the CDE EdTech Office:
Recent E-Rate Changes:
See the official communication (Press Release) from the FCC. There are a lot of details and items to be worked out by the FCC and USAC in terms of implementing these changes. USAC will have their first official roll-out for these changes next week in Washington D.C. The K-12 HSN/CDE will be attending to make sure ACCURATE information is incorporated into this year’s state E-rate training.
Please be careful when reading or taking action on second-hand information regarding these changes. We encourage you to attend our state E-rate trainings to help you understand how these changes affect all of us in securing E-rate funding. The FCC order detailing the changes has not been released so as they say, the “Devil is in the Detail”.
We will send you the specifics when the FCC order is released. Until the order is released (as of this email it has not been released), there are only statements and news releases at this point by the FCC.
