Step 1

Get an Animoto account. Open a new browser window and follow these slide show directions. Make it an educator account.

Step 2

Make your first Animoto Slide show

1. Find 10 - 12 historical photos of interest or relevant to what you teach from either CalisphereGoogle's Life image archive or
2. Download the medium images to a folder to your computer. (not thumbnail size)
3. Go to Animoto, (Be sure you are signed in) and Click #1 "Images" and upload your images, rearrange them and follow the on screen directions and ideas.
4. Now it is time to add some audio. Click #2 Audio. You have two choices - either your own music or voice you created on your computer or just click music to use stock music from Animoto.
   • Option #1 Just add music from the Animoto online library
   • Option #2 Research some background information about the images you choose. Use Garageband to record a 30 second spot, save and upload.

1. Finished with audio - move to #3 "customize a video" and now you are done!
2. Share your project. Embed your Animoto slideshow to your blog, your class website etc.
